Q) Explain possible future areas for development on performance within Physical factors. (4).

'A future Physical area for development for me would be my CRE. Improving this sub-factor would help me be able to last the full match when playing basketball without tiring. This can lead to me still being able to maintain a high skill level as I would still be fresh enough to focus on their sub-routines which can help keep possession for my side late on in games.'

'Another future Physical area for development for me would be my Reaction Time. Improving this sub-factor would help me be able to react qucikly to certain situations in football. If the goalkeeper dropped a shot, I would be quicker to react to the ball than the defender, get there first and score a rebound.'

'A further future Physical area for development for me would be my Agility. Improving this sub-factor would help me be able to change direction quickly. In tennis, I would be able to quickly change direction when at the front of the net to turn and run to the back to retrieve an opponents lob shot. This agility could help me turn quickly and stay in the rally.'

'A final future Physical area for development for me would be my Speed. Improving this sub-factor would help me be able to use my pace to outrun an opponent in rugby. When on the wing, I would be able to carry the ball quickly when running which could see me easily get past my opponent who cannot keep up with me and I can therefore score a try.'

Q) Explain possible future areas for development on performance within Mental factors. (4).

'A future Mental area for development for me would be my Motivation. Improving this sub-factor would help me give 100% throughout both my training and whole performance. In hockey, being really motivated could lead to me giving 100% in trying to fulfil my defensive role and responsibilities which can lead to my teammates trusting me and giving their all too as they appreciate how hard I am trying.'

'Another future Mental area for development for me would be my Resilience. Improving this sub-factor would help me bounce back when I make mistakes in my performance. In netball, being resilient will help me get over missing an easy shot and continuing to keep getting into goalscoring positions which can eventually lead to me scoring as I never give up.'

'A further future Mental area for development for me would be my Decision Making. Improving this sub-factor would help me make correct decisions during badminton. Noticing that my opponent is at the back of the court and off balance could lead to me deciding to play a drop shot at the front of the court due to there being a lot of space. This could result in the opponent not getting there in time and me winning the point.'

'A final future Mental area for development for me would be my Concentration. Improving this sub-factor would help me focus throughout my performance. When man marking in basketball, I can focus on my opponent and block out the movements of others on the court. This can lead to me staying tightly to them and intercepting any passes towards them.'

Q) Explain possible future areas for development on performance within Social factors. (4).

'A future Social area for development for me would be my Communication. Improving this sub-factor would help me shout loudly during my performance to help my teammates. In volleyball, when the ball comes over the net, I can loudly shout my name to inform the person in front that I am going for it. This can lead to them leaving it and me having time and space to execute an accurate dig.'

'Another future Social area for development for me would be my Etiquette. Improving this sub-factor would help me demonstrate sportsmanship throughout my performance. In football, if I have the ball and notice an opponent lying down injured, I can kick the ball out to allow them to get treatment. This can lead to the game being played in better spirits.'

'A further Social area for development for me would be my Team Dynamics. Improving this sub-factor can help me become a better team player. In hockey, if my teammate misses an easy chance, I can therefore encourage and support them rather than criticise them. This can lead to their confidence and resilience staying high.'

'A final Social area for development would be my Co-operation. Improving this sub-factor could help me support others in my team. In football, if I notice that my teammate is facing a tricky winger, I can double up with them to help support them when facing this winger. This can lead to the opponent then having less space as two of us are now closing him down and him making mistakes.'

Q) Explain possible future areas for development on performance within Emotional factors. (4).

'A future Emotional area for development for me would be Controlling my Anger. This could help me stay calm in potentially frustrating situations. If the referee makes a bad decision, I would be able to stay calm and accept the decision rather than argue. This can lead to me quickly regaining my focus and getting back into position to help my defence.'

'Another future Emotional area for development for me would be Controlling my Fears. This could help my muscles stay loose and aid my movements. In rugby, when taking a conversion to win the game in the last minute, I can stay relaxed which can remove any tension in my muscles. This can lead to my movements being fluid and my kick being accurate.'

'A further future Emotional area for development for me would be Confidence. This could help me think positively before and during a performance. This can lead to me therefore playing creatively when playing basketball and my play becoming unpredictable. This can lead to the defender not knowing what I am going to do next and help me get past them to create space for a shot.'

'A final future Emotional area for development for me would be Surprise. This could help me overcome any shocks I may experience when my opponent tries to trick me. In tennis, If my opponents shot hits the top of the net and bounce over, I would overcome any feelings of surprise to react quickly and still reach the ball before it bounces twice to stay in the rally.'
